Our PTA

The PTA is open to all parents and all staff at the school.

The committee meets roughly once a month and plans a whole variety of fund raising events. The meeting dates and the minutes of previous meetings may be found just inside the junior entrance.
Fundraising has supported an incredible number of projects over the years. This includes improvements to the library, two adventure playgrounds, wooden planters for flowers, fruit and vegetables, refurbishment of a mobile classroom and help towards the cost of school trips and visits and specialist visitors to the school.
In 2006-2007, the PTA bought play equipment and storage to support the school in its aim to have fit, healthy and active children.

We also have a state-of-the-art sound system and soon all of the children that support the school in a variety of different sporting teams should be wearing brand new kit, again, courtesy of the PTA.

In 2007 - 2008 the PTA funded several planters

for our Playground.  These are used by classes

and the gardening club to grow a wide variety

of plants from sweet peas to potatoes to parsley!

Mrs Edwards coordinates the gardening club.

Mr Charles Mitty, a Master Composter no less,

is the gardening brains of the club and

members of staff take turns to help him.

This is a planter that the children are responsible for.

Each class has their own planter to look after.

The children caring for this planter have assembled

the wigwam frame for their sweet peas to grow up!

SCHOOL FETE 2008
We were lucky with the weather this year! It stayed warm and sunny the whole day, with record crowds coming from all over the district.
